Description

The Wilder sisters fall in love with men when they least expect it--and most need it. Rose, the older, more practical one, is a widow who lives in New Mexico and has two ungrateful kids, a bored dog, and a horse with a bad back. Lily, the younger, more daring sister, lives in Southern California, where she has put her career before everything else--including love. Lily and Rose flee to their parents' ranch, for some emotional detox. But the two haven't spoken in five long years, and spending show more time togther is the last thing they'd planned on. Nor had either anticipated being so actively pusued by lovestruck men. Readers will be in their corner all the way as they rediscover the bonds of sisterhood and slowly open their hearts to love. show less

A lighter read for a change of pace. Somewhat drawn out story of two sisters, Rose, 40 and widowed, and Lily 35, single and just out of another failed relationship. The two women return home to their parents horse ranch in a small town in New Mexico. Rose works for the local vet, whose marriage is over but he has turned to alcohol. She realises she is in love with him but that he is too fragile for a relationship. Lily meets her first boyfriend from college and immediately falls into bed with him again. The girls relationships fluctuate on and off to a predictable ending. A couple of other story lines about family members run their course also. Back to the shelves for something a bit more literary.

Two sisters are brought back together in their hometown by circumstances that neither wants. One sister has been a successful single woman in the business world while the other has stayed in her hometown, married and had children. The successful businesswoman is questioning her choices as well as the older sister who married. Each must face their choices and decide how to carry on.
Two sisters in New Mexico, ages thirty-five and forty, try to find true love. Good setting on family ranch.
