"She only remembers loving him. But he can't forget the way she left. Following a concussion, Lucy Lovett can't remember the last seven months of her life. She doesn't remember leaving her fiance Zac Callahan weeks before their wedding or moving to Portland, Maine. And she sure doesn't remember getting engaged to another man. All she remembers is loving Zac more than life itself. It's taken Zac months to move on after Lucy left him with no explanation. He's thrown himself into his family's farm and his restaurant business in Summer Harbor. Now Lucy's back, vulnerable, homeless, and still in love with him. She needs his help putting the pieces together, but letting her back into his life is a risk--and the stakes are high. If he follows his heart he'll win back the love of his life. Lucy has amnesia and doesn't remember leaving Zac. She calls him for help and despite his hurt he takes care of her. Nice story of seeing them work things out and solving the mystery of why Lucy left. ( )

Well, Denise Hunter knows how to write a swoon-worthy romance, and her newest novel easily exemplifies exactly that. With a return to both the charming town of Summer Harbor, Maine and the highly appealing Callahan brothers, The Goodbye Bride will not leave lovers of romance disappointed.

Heartbroken Zac Callahan, the younger brother of Falling Like Snowflakes’ Beau, has spent months trying to recover from the unexpected and painful departure of his fiancee Lucy Lovett, but an amnesia-inducing accident threatens to undo all his forward progress. Since Lucy cannot remember making the decision to leave Zac so suddenly, she wants a chance to regain his affections - but he refuses to get hurt again. Their story then unfolds with compelling conflict, chemistry, and character development and captured my attention, imagination, and emotions until the very satisfying end.

Entirely engrossing and delightful, The Goodbye Bride is a top-notch read, and I loved every moment in this second trip to Summer Harbor. With ease and certainty, I recommend it to fans of contemporary romance, while impatiently look forward to reading the third Callahan brother’s story, Just a Kiss.

The book cover drew me in and the first chapter caught me and I couldn't put it down. I really liked the storyline, it was a little different, which is always good. This is a series about the Callahan brothers and you will want to read them all. You can read this story as a stand alone, but all 3 Callahan brothers are worth getting to know.

Lucy Lovett can't remember the last 7 months of her life. She doesn't remember leaving her fiancé Zac Callahan just weeks before their wedding. As the back cover says it so well, "She only remembers loving him. But he can't forget the way she left." When Lucy calls Zac and asks him to come rescue her, the story begins where Lucy must remember why she was found in a wedding dress wearing someone else's ring. And Zac must try to help her, even though it might mean her breaking his heart all over again. I loved the tension and the love oozing out of these two for each other. It also had a little bit of mystery to it and it kept my attention all the way through. Looking forward to starting book 3 next, "Just a Kiss"! ( )

I planned on binge reading the series, as I just loved the first book. I think I liked this one even more! Each book follows a different Callahan brother: Beau, Zac, and Riley. I knew this followed Zac, but I had no clue it was going to take the turns it did with Lucy. I loved that this was a second chance romance and that it again has a mystery behind the story. You are wondering until the reveal what happened to Lucy and what would happen when she gets her memory back.

I loved it and I am moving on to the third book in the series! I love Denise Hunter and the Callahan brothers. ( )

This was a little bit different from the Denise Hunter books I have read in the past. It still kept my interest to the end. It had some turns in the plot that I wasn't expecting, but it ended as any good chick-lit book should. ( )
