Amelia Bedella are great books for student to read. They are about Amelia taking things literally. This would be a humorous book for students in first grade to read. ( )

"From dressing the chicken to dusting the furniture, Amelia Bedelia does exactly what Mr. and Mrs. Rogers tell her. ...But somehow things never turn out quite right." - Amazon

A very funny and quirky story that relies heavily on duel meanings of different phrases such as "dust the curtains" or "draw the blinds". This book shows the value of meaning well and having a good heart as Amelia wants only to please her employers, yet can't seem to do anything right. Readers will love Amelia's confidence in her actions and the redemption and acceptance that she finds at the end of the book. ( )
