Cara McCord had a new lease on life. After hearing the news that she was cancer free, the Texas beauty was ready to move forward and live life to the fullest . . . starting with losing her virginity. There was only one problem, though-the gorgeous blonde's heart beat for one cowboy alone, and he was someone she knew she could never have. Trace Briggs found the woman of his dreams when he was nine years old. For years he'd been forced to be a spectator on the sidelines of her life. But now circumstances had changed. The sexy, chiseled cowboy knew the time had come to claim the woman he'd loved since she was in pigtails. Convincing Cara would take all of his heart, and Trace was ready to put it all on the line. Will Cara finally allow herself to truly live . . . and love? No library descriptions found. |

Trace has always been there for Cara but under the guise of being her best friend's brother. He would take his sister to see her while she was in the hospital. What Cara didn't know is that he was biding his time until she was ready. Now that he has a chance, he's determined not to blow it. Can Trace & Cara admit the truth? Will they find their way to love?
What an emotional roller coaster! This book grabbed my emotions from the beginning & kept a tight hold all the way through! I laughed at Cara's inability to think straight around Trace! The characters were well developed, three dimensional & very realistic. I felt like they could be living down the road from me! The plot was realistic & easy to follow. The returning characters show how true friends pull together & are there for each other no matter what. This book was about deep emotional connections that survive through time & disease. It was a great emotional journey to read about. Loved it!! ( )
