This was an interesting novel, though I felt that it did not hold the immense power that Ferlinghetti typically impresses on the reader through his verse. The lines were good, but there was very little story that appealed to me. I did not feel that Ferlinghetti held the same majesty as his language with his poetry and that it was a loose novel that didn't share the same experiences that his poetry permeates.
