I would have liked it better if they were true stories. ( )

RGG: While the authors included are all critically acclaimed, these stories are for the most part dull, maybe because they're written as " problem stories." The best are "Pulling up Stakes" by David Lubar, "Lines of Scrimmage" by Elsa Marston, and "The Green Armchair" by Minfong Ho. Level 12-14.

First Crossing was an interesting story about how a boy and his father crossed the border in an attempt to make money to support the family. It was a realistic account that was based on a true story.
