Description

Knox Masters knows what he wants, and he gets it. All-American football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he's set his sight on two things: the national title and Ellie Campbell. Sure, she's the sister of his fellow teammate, but that's not going to stop him. Especially not when he's convinced that Ellie is the one. But Ellie isn't as sure. She's trying to start a new life, and she's not interested in a relationship... with anyone. Besides, it's not just her cardinal rule of show more never dating her brother's teammates that keeps her away; Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing. Contains mature themes. show less

This is the 3rd time I've read this book. It just gets better and better lol. I love sports romances and this has a great mix of sports, romance, and fun. I love the twist this has, it's the guy who's a virgin, waiting for the perfect girl to come along. He wants her as soon as he sees her and won't give up until she admits how much she wants him. He's sweet and treats her well and Ellie will do anything for Jack and Knox, even if it hurts her. I like that Ellie is tough, athletic, and smart. The ending is so cute and it's a great lead in for the other books.
This book had everything I love in a New Adult Sports Romance:

--a hot romance
--a more than swoon-worthy hero (Honestly, where are all the Knox's in the world?)
--a strong yet flawed heroine
--an entertaining plot
--a fantastic cast of characters I can't wait to learn more about!

Seriously, this book was a lot of fun from start to finish! Yes, at times the plot was a little far-fetched but it was still grounded in some realism so I really didn't mind. It worked for this story.

I was worried when the romance started as a love-at-first-sight one; but those worries quickly dissipated. It's super easy to see why these two would be drawn to each other.

Can't wait to dive into this series some more!
I enjoyed this NA steamy romance by Jen Frederick, half of the Erin Watt writing team of "Paper Princess" series fame. Ellie was a likeable and unique MC. I really appreciated the way she protected her older brother, Jack, and liked the story arc on learning disabilities. Knox, who plays on the same college football team Jack has just transferred to, is a virgin, which made for an interesting hero twist, and something you don't come across as often especially in college sports steamy romance. This was a nice, light, entertaining read. I enjoy Jen Frederick's writing and would read more by her.
Shelved for insta love.
Shelved for tone
Shelved for my lack of patience
Shelved for the name Knox Masters
Shelved for Knox masters wanting to push heroine into bench and fuck her by 2% (er kind of vivid imagery at 2% AND upon meeting someone. “Wanting her” would’ve been fine.)

I read everyone’s reviews, and it’s pretty clear this isn’t going to be my style of romance /pursuit.
Virgin Hero.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine but heroine does kiss another man, a bit half-heartedly.
Bit insta.
It's okay.
Please tell me there's another book coming soon. Loved this book.
