Raylin is on the run. Her father's associates will stop at nothing to claim the money he owes them-including killing her. A last ditch ticket to Florida, a temporary house to hide in and no future to look forward to. That is, until she meets Storm, a tattooed bad boy who is housesitting down the beach and doing repairs for the summer. A perfect place, a perfect pair of strong arms, a spot of calm in which to hide for a while-or is it? Drop-dead gorgeous, kind, and hot in bed, Storm may not be what he seems. This book is a bit weird to me. The main characters are young, late teens and early twenties, but their thoughts and actions are quite a bit older. To a certain extent, I guess you can argue that they've been through hard, traumatic lives which can force a level of added maturity, but they don't quite ring true to me. Despite that, the story did suck me in, so I just pretend that they are all a decade older and at all works out. I might have given it four stars, but the character disjunct combined with the fact that it desperately needs to be properly edited, were enough to lose a star. ( )

I am an avid fan of Jo Raven's work and I couldn't wait to read this latest book. I really wasn't disappointed. Jo has a way of pulling you into a book from the first page. You are instantly gripped by the storyline and the characters involved.

We follow Raylin and Storm who are both running from pasts through no fault of their own, that they wish to forget. The saying comes to mind of that you can choose your friends but not your family.

These two are thrown together, and they are a fantastic couple to read about. Storm is a very sexy male character and I feel that he takes it upon himself to save Raylin.

This is a sexy, fantastic, gripping read and an excellent start to a new series by Jo.

I'll look forward to the next book in the series.
