![]() None No current Talk conversations about this book. ![]() ![]() This was a feel-good, pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps rags to riches story. It’s a good story with many interesting characters. But it’s a fairy tale. Even when things go wrong they ultimately go right. Reading it you must realize no one is ever in any real peril despite the horrid, backbreaking poverty. When it could feel so real, it just doesn’t. If you can accept this overly innocent view of the world, then it’s a terrific read. no reviews | add a review
