I had many issues with this book: But then again, it was supposed to be a fun, quirky, sweet romance story - and on that front it totally delivered. There were quite a number of caricaturistic moments that had me cringing, but overall the characters were crazy but likeable. The writing was a little all over the place, but it kind of grew on me as I was reading, and it suited the tone of the story in a way. Also, I really liked the way this book approached the whole idea of women pursuing their career while men stayed at home with the children, as well as making a point about how hard-working and underappreciated nannies are. In short, this book had more to it than the average romance story, and I liked that a lot.
I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed this. The language was a little strong for my tastes at times, but the main characters were well-written and sympathetic, the action well-paced, and tne whole a satisfying read. An informal, light style but with much to think about too. Definitely a cut above the average 'chick-lit'.
I really enjoyed this book. The family she worked for was very interesting. I found myself laughing at some of the comments they made to each other from the very beginning of the book. I also found myself disliking her friend, Sheila. Overall, it was a very good read and I will be on the lookout for more by this author.
Easyread chicklit if you don't want to think too much about what you are reading. Nice cute story and a lot of love, but maybe the book is a bit too long?
Not as good as The Nanny Diaries, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but this was great from an 'British' perspective.
Is a nice light story. Is very well write and you can spend a nice time reading it. You have fun and you entertain yourself. I read it to enjoy an easy reading for the summer. If you do not want to think this is the perfect book.
A fun love story about a nanny who saves a 'crazy' family from itself and falls in love in the process.
