Book 6 in the A-Tac series which are CIA operatives that all work undercover at Sunderland College.
The one thing that never lacks in a A-Tac book is non stop action, along with that pesky group the Consortium (an arms cartel they have been trying to bring down throughout the series).
This is Simon's story. Simon was a Navy Seal before joining A-Tac. His last mission with the Seals went south and his best friend Ryan was killed and he was wounded. He feels a sense of guilt over Ryan's death and has been unable to face his widow Jillian Montgomery who he was also best frieds with in college and had a thing for but stepped back because he thought Jillian picked Ryan.
One day after a meeting with his Dr he runs into Jillian at the hospital show more right before a helicopter crashes into the building. Turns out Jillian is working for Homeland Security now and is assigned to work with A-Tac and partnered with Simon when they figure out the crash was no accident. Jillian has always harbored a secret from Simon - well actually two and one is pretty big.
There are many more explosions as they try and following the treads which all keep pointing to the Consortium as being behind. Most of the team is in this book and it was great seeing them again and hearing how they are doing in there relationships. And as a added bonus the next book will finally be Avery's. There is a sneak peak and boy does it look like its going to be a doozy.. show less

Double Danger by Dee Davis
4 STAR
Double Danger is action pack one thing after another. This a A-Tac novel. The first one
that I have read but hopefully not the last one. It does have some love scenes that I skipped over.
The characters are a mixture of good and bad guys. Men and women from different agency backgrounds working on stopping terrorist attacks.
Simon Kincaid fromer U.S. Navy Seal now working for A-tac as one of the newer agents. He is in a raid in Afghanistan but the group has already left but they left some clues behind about a attack.
When Simon is back in New York at a hospital he sees a old friend from collage who married his friend Ryan on his seal team. In fact on his last mission as a Seal that he was charge of and got show more wounded his friend Ryan died as a hero.
Simon cared for Jillian Montgomery but she always picked Ryan over him. She was at the hospital on the emergency diaster mock incident. When a helicopter crashed into the hospital and she was trapped. Simon was able to rescue her and they made it out barely others were not so luckly.
Homeland Security agent Jillian was assigned to work with A-Tac agency with Simon was closely. The attack on the hospital looks like a accident but the more they look into it the more dead bodies turn up.
I think if you had read the previous books would bring a little more understanding but this book does stand alone. I am sure thier will be another book in the series to come, that I look forward to reading when it comes out.
If you like action pack suspense novel this book is good.
I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.
