Description

Inis has run away from her husband and children. Her new neighbour, Trixie, is eighty four years old and a hymn-singing Salvation Army veteran. Trixie's life is one of apparent calm but beneath the surface lies not one but three different personalities. One of them is very private. And very dangerous.

Two women running away from something - Inis has abandoned her family to get some space to breathe; 84 yr old Trixie is running away from her awful childhood, and the absences during which she becomes another uninhibited personality, totally at odds with her Sally-Army normal self.
When Inis moves in next door and innocently tries to help Trixie, things get all stirred up in Trixie's head and her other personalities get stronger. Then Inis decides it's time to go home to her family ...
Alternating chapters between the two voices, we gradually build up a portrait how their lives have been shaped, and the powerful emotions that normally lurk within.
