Author done irritated me now. Story line is interesting, writing is interesting, BUT... these aren't books - they're installments.

I read the first one, which was short, but it was cheap so I wasn't quite as upset when absolutely nothing was resolved and the book just stopped at the end of what I would consider a chapter.

But book #2 does the exact same thing, and from reading reviews on Amazon it looks like #3 is in the same hanging ending mode. #4 is coming out, but, sorry... I don't feel the book is good enough to spend $2.99 (at least) three times for future installments. Finish the dratted book, sell it to me complete for $5.99 or so, and I'll be happier.

This really should be read after the first book because even though it can stand alone, I imagine the first book gives a good intro to this book. That being said, the atmosphere of a historic mansion being restored to its former glory, and the mystery of a missing girl from the 18th century who may - or may not be moving furniture around the house, and generally throwing tantrums on occasion is beautifully created by the author. Recommended. ( )

The tale of Seven Sisters continues with Carrie Jo and Ashland searching for clues to the mystery of what happened to Calpurnia Cottonwood who disappeared in 1850.

An enjoyable read. ( )
