The third book in the "Lost Years" saga, dealing with the events after the Enterprise's five-year mission ended. In this book, Sulu and Chekov are framed for murder as part of a plot against the Federation. Kirk and his former crewmates must once more join together to clear their friends and defeat the plot. Well-written, and an intriguing portrayal of our heroes' lives after their lives are turned upside down by the end of the mission.

Enjoyable gap-filler which goes a long way to explaining the circumstances of the first movie. A solid entry into the LOST YEARS books.
