This is one of the longer Mithgar stories, and one of the better ones. This book goes back into the past, to one of the older ages of Mithgar when faeries and mages still were found. A pysk and a mage seek out a terrible evil that once again threatens to make a connection between MIthgar and the dark god that was banned from the world. This book, in a good way, fills in a lot of background for the later Mithgar stories, while expanding the world quite a bit.
