- NOTE:
I differentiate between "science fiction" and "scifi"; "scifi" is just a story that happens to be set in the future, "science fiction" is trying to make a point about what could happen in the future. For a recent example, Issac Asimov's book "I, Robot" is science fiction -- it's trying to make a point about artificial intelligence. To contrast, the recent movie "I, Robot" starring Will Smith is "scifi", it's just mildly entertaining fluff. - Location
