There are parts of this book that are gripping, there are parts that are gut-wrenching, there are parts that are fairly pedestrian. As a fan of Ms. Francis's voice and the songs she released over the years, I would not have cared if the book was cartoonish. I'm glad I found it in the Hospice Thrift Shop and I'm glad I have it. I will probably read it again one day just to get more of the chuckles I got whenever I read a part of the book where she described her totally unreasonable and thoughtless reactions to family and events. I would have liked many more photographs.
