In the previous book, Jade changed. In this book, so much of her world changed. The Big Bad is gone, the supernatural organization has disbanded, and things destroyed are being rebuilt. I like how Annie Bellet spread the changes out between the two books, so that even while one story is ending another already began in the previous book. Great way to reinvigorate the series.
