This book is an exclusive look into some of the most used planes to help support marines on the battlefield. The book talks about Harriers and Hornets. It talks about there weapons, design, equipment, and what the pilots have to do. The most efficient thing about harriers in my opinion is that they can land vertically like a helicopter. Hornets are fast planes and can fly up to 1,290 miles per hour. The harries are equipped with machine guns, bombs, and missiles. Hornets are equipped with machine guns, missiles, bombs, and extra fuel for long flights of scout missions. The pilots must be highly trained and they have to be able to fly fast without blacking-out and they have to kn ow how to fire the guns.

This is a very educational book and teaches you some cool things about planes. I think the coolest plane is the harrier. I mean seriously landing like a helicopter that's cool. They could also fly low and assist the troops by firing the machine guns. This book explains it all and if your looking for a book for your child who is interested in planes I highly suggest this book. Its entertaining and fun to read. The pictures are very precise and it makes the book fun for smaller kids to read. ( )
