Still working on their fledgling romance they are in South Africa taking a much needed vacation. Interrupted by psycho agent Alex, Island and March's getaway is disintegrated and the chase begins. Tie in an airliner explosion that implicates Island's biological father Dries (Lion leader, member of the Board, cock blocker, & March's ally) you have the ingredients of international intrigue. Is Dries really guilty? Is the CIA for or against them? Will Alex finally kill March and have Island? Who is really behind the airline explosion and why? Will March and Island ever have the chance to consummate their relationship before either of them die? More backstory on the characters is introduced and this adventure has twists, turns, surprising details, & a CLIFFHANGER ending. Can't wait to continue to the next book ( ) While Island and March are taking a much needed break, they receive a report about a plane that basically disintegrated, killing all aboard. The blame is placed on a terrorist named Dries, Island's biological father. This news puts Island and March back in action, first to discover what, if any, part Dries played in the destruction of the plane, and then to chase down a next-gen weapon that might have the ability to explode glass used in construction. This adventure will take them all over the world, from South Africa to Liechtenstein and France to Venice. Crystal Whisperer is the third entry in the Spotless series and as a warning up front: this one does end on a cliffhanger. As the story progresses we get more development of integral characters including March and Dries as well as Dries brother, Anies. While the story does contain some humor, the relationship between March and Island is becoming more serious, leaving less time for laughs. The action is amped up as the characters are placed in more and more dangerous situations. Overall, Crystal Whisperer is a very entertaining ride filled with suspense, adventure, and romance. Slightly less engaging than the first and second books but, otherwise, still pretty decent. The angst is a bit well-worn by now, and it might be time for the characters to shake it up a bit since they are just moving in the same old patterns over and over. I will still read the next in the series though. no reviews | add a review

Sweet Jesus, this is it! Or maybe not.Perpetually foiled romance heroine Island Chaptal and reformed cleaning expert March â??or is it Mr. November?â?? are enjoying a pleasant break in South-Africa, after brushing death in the inhospitable and platypus-infested mountains of Liechtenstein...That is, until a commercial flight disintegrates over the Atlantic, killing hundreds, and Island's supervillain dad makes the news as the mastermind behind the attack. Old Lion Dries is now on the run, and he calls upon his last ally â??and favorite discipleâ?? March. From the streets of Venice to the turquoise waters of French Polynesia, March and Island embark on a deadly race against the clock to find out what secrets lie behind Dries's downfall, and stop the mysterious "Crystal Whisperer" before it's too late. This time, though, there might just be no winning against futuristic weapons, CIA agents, Roomba cats, (reluctantly) evil henchmen, and dads who won't let you get your groove No library descriptions found. |
