The only problem I had with "Icebreaker" was that I wanted to know more about the world outside the Oyster so I could understand the big picture better. This book takes care of that. The action begins immediately and we are now following Petrel and Co on land while we meet a new set of characters in a submersible. Once again a captive becomes a friend (or maybe not) and the Devouts are doing their best to rid the world of evil technologies. I now understand why the Oyster doesn't just dock somewhere. I enjoy the anti machines theme because I love technology and am criticized for preferring to read on my phone over reading an actual book. ( ) no reviews | add a review
