This is a book that tells us about the lives of thirteen Jewish Americans and their great accomplishments. As you are reading the book each turn of the page has an illustration of the person being mentioned with the next page being a little snippet of their accomplishments. I think the author did a great job of providing a one page of information on each of the Americans being mentioned. I also really liked how the illustrators captured facial expressions of each person. I think this book did a great job of teaching children about these people with the information being straightforward and not too wordy. I myself learned a lot from this book about some people I didn’t know about, or of some things I did know about but did not know who made it what it was. I really enjoyed this book and I think it would be a great read for any class, be it reading or social studies, because it can definitely be incorporated for both. ( ) no reviews | add a review
