Time passes and the bad guys return; this time with a plan to make a fortune in gold. Under attack from Khan and his thuggish colleagues Eddie and his team go on the hunt. The action is continuous so not much time for fine dining in this episode. Creative crimes and apt solutions hallmark this brief series, let us hope that it stays with us. Surely, the CIA and the Surete` can find topics of interest that require Eddie and his talented and well-connected team. ( )

I expected to really enjoy this one, and I was right! Taking place 3 years after the Treasure of St Lazare, familiar characters become involved with new, threatening ones. The writing draws you in and you become invested in the story quite early on. There are some weavings of the previous tale into this one, and lots more new and unrealized things that totally surprise. The action is pretty much non-stop. Great book for plot twists that blow you away!
The narrator of the audio is okay. ( )
