A wonderful story that ages well. I first found this as a rookie high school librarian in the 70's, and loved it. A modern (1970's) teen goes to live with her grandmother in Liverpool, and finds herself slipping back in time to the Mersey bombings during WWII. She meets her own mother as a sullen rebellion teenager, and the heroic aunt she never knew, but whose poetry she finds.

Loganberry found this book for me again. I'm so grateful.
