A fun read for a summer afternoon, but child me would not have liked the story, and cynical me says that Julie must have had better luck with her disability than just about anyone else.
Told in a series of letters to a much older and wiser pen-pal, this story is compassionate and entertaining. The dummy- out- the- window scene (which kids will appreciate but parents will probably not) is priceless!
