I had a hankering to learn a bit about Ohio, because I knew almost nothing about it. This is a very nice introduction for children doing research reports. I'd recommend the series no matter what state your child is working on. I think it's best for about 9-10 yrs old.

I did want more pictures of the scenery, though, and more large-scale pix... most were portraits, close-ups of manufacturing work, old paintings of Indian Battles, that kind of thing. But again, this is for students, not tourists or emigrants. I might keep looking for more because I still have a hankering to maybe even visit there some day.
