The Fighter's Stubborn Lover is full of fun yet complex characters. Based on preconceived notions and a heartbreaking event in her past Avery is intent on protecting her brother from the dangerous world of MMA fighting. Mason knows both sides and is struggling with the fact that age and injury is on the verge of ending his career. He is also fighting his attraction Avery, a woman against everything he stands for and loves. It doesn't help that Avery resents Mason for not helping her talk her brother out of pursuing the path she considers deadly. Avery although a little naive her heart is in the right place and Mason is trying to overcome his fears and Avery's stubbornness the best way he Knows how. This is another winner for Leslie North. Received this book for an honest review. ( )
