The eyeballs were a little wonky, story has potential, will be reading the second volume. ( )

Parkinson-Morgan dedicates this first collection in part to Brandon Graham, and this is to his work on Prophet as the fires of Hell are to a half-burnt match. The decadent, depraved multiverse of K6BD, dead God(s) and all, is a feat of imagination unlike anything else going in comics right now that I can think of, and it feels like a gauntlet being thrown for every other writer-artist out there to pick up. My only quibbles with this first collection are that some of the meta-elements from the original web presentation have been dropped (most of the text pieces are gone, which is a real shame), but other than that this is straight-up the one book you can't miss in comics. Can't wait for volume 2 and beyond to be collected. ( )

Došao do najnovijeg update-a at this time (Seeker of Thrones 9-118). Verovatno će završiti u mom top 3 comics/webcomics/manga of all time. ( )

I had to re-read this one. So much is happening, it really conveys the confusion of our protagonist while maintaining enough distance for some serious worldbuilding. Sergio Aragonés does Exalted is the best way I can describe this. Worth a try, or several.

I will end up buying this. ( )

this is a:
-twisted heroes journey
-w a diverse cast of characters
-set in a fantastical fusion of the cosmologies of various religions and symbolic universes of various cultures from history/the globe
-featuring equal parts violent gore and sentimental feelings
-including critiques of historical forms of capitalism & authoritarianism
-filtered thru a trans-feminist perspective
-w a touch of "millennial" irony

its great

obvious religious inspirations include the dharmic traditions (mostly hinduism and thervada buddhism), abrahamic traditions (mostly judaism and pre-nicene christianity), and taoism

i think some less obvious inspirations might include germanic paganism, hellenic paganism, jainism, confucianism, and shinto ( )
