Juliette and Gabe's world turned upside down three years ago when their beloved child became ill. When he died on Christmas Eve, Juliette’s heart became hardened toward Christmas, God and her husband. As time passes, Juliette becomes more and more distant to Gabe and their marriage is in trouble. Gabe takes her away for Christmas hoping a change of scenery will help change her mood. The location does nothing for her but an encounter with a presumed lost child and puppy soften her heart.
This book will make you both happy and sad and has an ending that you could not imagine. Best of all this book reminds you that there is always hope and to never give up.

Oh my goodness! Be sure to have a box of Kleenex handy...maybe two boxes. This story started me out crying and had me crying, happy tears, at the end. What a beautiful story!

Juliet and Gabe are married but things have not been well for them since they lost their son. They go away for a Christmas that Juliet can't bear to celebrate. At the cabin they find a child and a dog that change their lives.

I don't want to give away the entire story so I am being vague. This is a beautiful Christmas story of heartbreak, grief, healing and hope that makes it heartwarming.

I listened to this on Audible. I really loved Kate Marcin as the narrator. I loved her as Patrick and was so pleasantly surprised by her singing voice. I wish she could have sang an entire Christmas Carol.

It is a Christmas story you definitely want to have for winding down on a cold December day.If you are like me and enjoy Christmas anytime of the year, this is a book that will bring you the magic of Christmas, regardless of the time of the year. ( )

Christmas Stray by Rachelle Ayala
Christmas Stray had me catching my breath while losing my heart. Juliette and Gabe's story is as profound as it is heartbreaking.  What once was strong, has been fractured by grief and hopelessness.  Ms. Ayala tackles the subject of lost faith and broken hearts, while inspiring readers with her courageous characters.  No parent should have to endure what this couple did.  However, an adorable puppy and an equally lost little boy give this broken couple a chance at healing and moving forward.  KLEENEX IS A MUST!!
