This book is an easy book to introduce counting numbers. The book starts off with a family of ten armadillos who go on a camp out. The mom always mentions that 10 makes a perfect, even family. While sleeping in their shells the armadillos roll all over town.. The towns people pick them up thinking they are different things, such as food and balls. When they realize they are not these items they panic and get upset. They all end up back at the camp site and wake up to return home. All ten, perfect armadillos return home. This would be a good book to read when talking about the number 10 or even numbers. ( )
