I don't usually read short story collections preferring instead the more complete characterizations in novels. But I have really enjoyed Ansay's other novels so thought I would give this a try. I was disappointed. I didn't feel the stories had much to say. I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

I first saw Manette Ansay at a writers' conference, and picked up two or three of her books there (I believe "River Angel" was her newest at the time). A wonderful collection of short stories, and the title is something I wish I'd come up with.
I love her stories! These were awesome!
