I liked this book! This book is about a kid that plays with his blocks inside, and he can use his imagination to build whatever he wants. Even though it can be raining, he can still enjoy the outdoors by building it! The author of this book focuses on rhyming to give effect. The author rhymes the last word for each line. Rhyming gives this book an effect to make it song-like. ( )

Renowned illustrator Daniel Kirk has joined his "blocks" -- in this case, bright colors, bold shapes, and retro style -- with Robert Louis Stevenson's classic poem to construct a nostalgic yet exuberant celebration of fun and imagination. It is a joyous look at playtime that will encourage toddlers to build dreams all their own! Review from Amazon

Excellent mentor text for teaching 3D shapes and discussion on architecture.

All he wants to do is play with his blocks, it doesn't matter if its sunny or rainy. He will build castles and palaces.
