Out of the three O'Malley books I've read so far, this is my FAVORITE. I enjoyed the first two books, but for some reason, I felt extra connected to Quinn and Lisa's story. I loved that they knew each other for a while before their relationship developed. I think it made the development of the relationship seem more real to me. I'm not even sure I can say why exactly, but Quinn and Lisa both grabbed my heart from the beginning of their story. There was just something about the dynamic of their relationship and they way they interacted with each other. I loved it. I loved seeing Lisa let the walls come down and let Quinn in as well as letting her family in on things she had even held back from them. There was a depth to their story and show more the love growing between them that just drew me in. This one will probably be one I reread from time to time. show less
My favorite of the O'Malley series, I received this book in high school, and still read it on a fairly regular basis! I love that I can really "feel" what Lisa goes through, from getting a better glimpse at what someone struggling with faith might be facing, to enjoying her wonderful friendship/love story develop. It really set the bar for Dee Henderson to only get better with every new book!
This series just keeps getting better and better, I couldn't put this one down (or out, I was listening to it). Henderson does a great job of interweaving suspense and romance, and I love the unique faith based question of each book. This book dealt with belief in the resurrection.
