Description
"They say nothing compares to your first kiss, But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience. Our second kiss . . . that one was REAL. He cradled my face like he was terrified he'd f*ck it up. He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed. Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs, He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate, And he'd never get another piece. A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist . . . And I was lost. I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée. I show more forgot we weren't REAL. Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don't exist, Then you've never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history." -- show lessTags

There is always something about Ilsa's characters that make her stories work. They are always snarky and realistic in different ways. Sunny and Max fall right into that category.
From the start I was hooked. I loved Sunny and her take no prisoners attitude towards Max. And Max with his easy going, flirty attitude. I knew right away this was going to be an entertaining read.
I am not usually one for the fake relationship books. We all know how they will end. However, the pages between the beginning and the end were a delight to read. I giggled so many times. I couldn't wait for these characters to finally wake up and see what was right in front of them.

I enjoyed this audiobook, I love sport romance and Ilsa Madden-Mills stories are amazing, so this was a perfect combo.
I enjoyed this a lot. I liked the characters and their stories and their relationship and their hardships. Just all of it, really.
How unlimited burns me, edition 246.
✔️ flat, traumatized characters
✔️ Perplexing relationship somewhere between slow and insta (I really cannot say)
✔️ Weird narrative choices
✔️ Groupies, jersey chasers, other women are evil.
✔️ Confusing mystery plot with stalker? Why not!
A flip switched a match lit, and somehow they suddenly went from fake to real and headlong in love. Needless to say, not convincing.
