I have very much enjoyed each story in this series, but I have to say, this one was my favorite so far. This story is about Tim Hamilton, the son who took over the Hamilton family newspaper business when his father became ill and his older brother, Jeremy, left the business. (I recommend you read the stories in this series in order to get all the background of what has happened to this family so far.) Tim was the member of the family that I have had the hardest time liking. The author did a good job of showing the hidden side of Tim, the more vulnerable side.

Tim, the "tough tycoon" is all business, no time for anything else. He wants the business run like a smooth oiled machine. He hits a car in the parking lot and discovers it was his show more secretary's run-down vehicle. When Dawn, the secretary, reacts so strongly to her car being smashed, Tim must give some attention to her. He will need to drive her around that evening as she delivers meals to the elderly. Both Tim and Dawn will begin to see each other in a different light, outside of the office. Dawn's sweet nature will start to have an effect upon Tim and can maybe turn the "all-business beast" into a human being one could like.

I loved the way Tim's eyes were opened to someone who had worked for him for years and he hadn't really noticed. I liked the make-over of Dawn for a "business function" and how it helped Tim see just how beautiful inside and out, Dawn was. I had to smile at Tim's lack of understanding of women in general. I learned to like the guy, even though he has some rough edges still.

Picked this up because of the MC being named Tim for a reading challenge. Typical of this type of book but had some of the old school tropes of the rich guy buying clothes for the lady and being a workaholic and not looking at the secondary characters as other than place fillers. The typical lack of communication causes half the problems. I’m so passed this dynamic in plots.
