I love the detailed pictures in this book. They really bring pictures to your mind when reading about the past that you really have no idea what was like...until you read this book! This book has a lot of stories that put the past together and make it very relate-able to children. This would be a good book to read for a social studies lesson, maybe even break it up over a week and use throughout a whole unit. ( )
