For the first time, Loise Lane has almost everything she wants. Non-temporary home? Check. Dream Job? Double check. Incredible BFFs? The absolute best. And, now, her online crush, SmallvilleGuy, is coming to Metropolis. If all goes well, they'll turn their long-distance friendship into a some-kind-of-fairy-tale romance. But when does all ever go well? Before she can check "boyfriend" off her list, Lois must take down a mad scientist plus a trio of mutant teens, protect the elusive flying man from the feds (including her dad), and navigate her very first date with SmallvilleGuy.… (more)

While I didn't devour Triple Threat in the same way I did the previous two books, I still greatly enjoyed it. The storyline wasn't as compelling, really more of a backdrop for Lois and Clark to meet, but, let's be real, that's what I wanted.

And it was perfect. I absolutely love how Gwenda Bond gets Lois Lane. She's abrasive but pure-hearted, incredibly clever but emotionally a mess. In the first book, Lois gaining friends was a first for her, the second she was still getting used to it, and finally, in this book Lois gets to benefit from having a close group of friends.

I just love the sparkiness of Lois and Clark, the way they interact, the trust developed between them despite being so far apart. Gwenda Bond really developed that nicely. ( )

I've been dying to read this book and was patiently waiting for the ebook, only to discover I could have read this months ago.

So much love! I seriously freaked out when The Inventor revealed himself. And oh, Clark! And lovestruck Lois! And wanting to do the right thing Lois! And getting herself into trouble Lois! And hints of the Smallville universe (hi Shelby!). The plot itself took a little to get going and it did tread some of the same ground as Fallout but the character stories in this one really took it to a whole other level. As I'm much more interested in character moments than action, this one ticked all the boxes for me. I know I'll be reading it again and again. ( )

It took me FOREVER to read the last few pages in this book because my school's winter musical, South Pacific, opened this week and I am the tech director so I have been crazy busy so even though it looks like I took days to read this I read most of it over the course of two days. I could do that because this was just as fun and fast-paced as the two other books in the series. I love this series. I think it is so fun. As I have said before I love Lois Lane (and the other DC ladies. If you share this love I recommend the 3 books about them I read by [a:Tim Hanley|7279927|Tim Hanley|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png]). The character hasn't always been treated the best in the comics but she is so interesting when done right and I think these books do a great job of describing what she would be like as a teenager. We see some characters in this book that will be familiar to DC fans and Lois finally gets to meet Clark in person. In all of these books, the mysteries are a little crazy because they live in a world where people have superpowers. Even though this makes the craziness a little more understandable I liked that this book dialed it back a little from the second book in terms of weirdness. I do like in this book that we're learning about how all the villains we're learning about fit together and you can start to see the path that the overall plot thread is heading down. I like that we are continuing to learn more about the lives of Lois' friends because I definitely find that they are a very interesting part of the story. I also like that though there are many new characters introduced in each of the books no character ever really feels underdeveloped. I also enjoyed seeing more of how Lois interacts with her family members, especially how she interacts with her father, even when she feels like he may be doing something that she thinks in wrong and doesn't agree with. I think this was a really great continuation of a super fun series. These books aren't made to be challenging and they don't need to be. I hope that the next book is in the works because I can't wait to hear about what happens to Lois next. ( )

In the final (sniff!! no! say it ain't so!) book of the Lois Lane trilogy, our favorite teen journalist Lois and her Daily Scoop friends investigate a group of teens who seem to have....superpowers! And they're following Lois around, trying to get her attention for something. What are they up to? What does it mean for Metropolis? Tangled in with that investigation, Lois has to juggle the problems happening with Strange Skies, hers and "Smallville Guy"'s online forum--where someone is trying to expose the "flying man" that both Lois and Clark, er, Smallville Guy, want to protect. Another fun twisty mystery with plenty of sleuthing and teen banter, but what really matters, folks? Is that this is where maybe, just maybe, Lois will get to meet Clark in person! OMG! Again, with the swoonworthy adorable romance, I just can't stand it, sooooo cute. LOVED this book, loved this series, really hated to see it come to an (hopefully temporary!!) end. I hope it has inspired some future journalists out there, because it's not just a fun superhero series but a really nice look at what it takes to track down leads and follow your gut to write a news story, and that it can be fun and fulfilling as a profession. I loved this glimpse into how Lois Lane finds her calling, not just her super future boyfriend. Lois Lane's character has always meant more than that, even with the uneven portrayals in all the various incarnations of the Superman story over the years. So, yay for Lois and Clark, and especially for Lois Lane, teen reporter. ( )

Overall, I liked the previous book more because Lois makes some fairly uncharacteristic missteps in this one. I adored the ending, though. It absolutely made up for everything else. It closes on a good note, with all the most urgent story lines wrapped up. It feels like a complete trilogy, though there are a few threads left dangling. I hope there will be more one day--I'll definitely keep reading. ( )
