COVID prevented the showing of this musical in my city, so I bought the book. What a story....very touching, at times, frighteningly so. I could feel for the characters....especially Heidi who tried so hard to be a good mom. This is the kind of story that I could see happening in real life. The emotional roller-coaster the characters found themselves on is still top of mind a day after I've finished reading. ( )

Thought-provoking, entertaining, and at times harrowing. Deserving of its praise. ( )
