In this adorable book, we follow a little sister who tries her hardest to play with her older sister everyday. Unfortunately, her sister is too busy to play because she has things to do (ballet, piano lessons, soccer, etc.) Finally they choose a day to have a "sister day" which they decide would be on Saturday. After a lot of patience, and planning, the little sister gets her wish of spending all day with her older sister. I really enjoyed this book's message, as well as the illustrations. Though I don't have an older sister, I do have an older brother, and I would always get so sad when he couldn't play with me. I didn't understand that he was busy, just like the little sister in the book. I love how healthy the sister's relationship was, and this can be a good modeling book for sisters who may not be getting along. Teaching young readers that sometimes they have to be patient in order to get what they want is also a great lesson to be learned. no reviews | add a review

A super cute book about family, sisters, and spending time with one another. The illustrations are cute - but pretty standard for children's books.
