Kipling West explains collective nouns in terms related to Halloween. Kids will think it is fun and entertaining to learn words for groups of things such as ravens, owls, masks, and crows. There are no teaching points in this text, and the term collective noun is not defined or explained in the course of the text. Although it is lacking some important features, this could be a useful book to include in your grammar teaching because it is something kids will think is fun to learn about, and could offer relief to a grammar unit about collective nouns.
