For example, it includes sections like "20 signs you're doing better than what you think you are: you paid the bills this month.” I mean.. yeah, sure. Or “If you’re questioning yourself it means you’re open to growth!” Again.. yeah.. sure(?). It offers advice on communication and handling feedback. It assumes my thoughts and personality as facts. Ultimately, I decided not to continue reading, marking it as a DNF and a 3-star because it isn’t bad at all! Actually, great advice, just not for me. Probably 1001 bullet points (I didn’t count them). Thought-provoking, sentence-long advice, much of it sensible and worth hearing. I listened to the audible - not the ideal medium, as the list kept on coming, and so impossible to mull over her suggestions. But interesting enough that I may re-borrow this from the library in the future. no reviews | add a review

Over the past few years, Brianna Wiest has gained renown for her deeply moving, philosophical writing. This new compilation of her published work features pieces on why you should pursue purpose over passion, embrace negative thinking, see the wisdom in daily routine, and become aware of the cognitive biases that are creating the way you see your life. Some of these pieces have never been seen; others have been read by millions of people around the world. Regardless, each will leave you thinking: this idea changed my life.
