This wordless picture book tells a story with pictures about a girl named Clementine finding a cactus. She loves it but then her dad takes her back inside so they won’t get rained on. She goes back to it the next day and sees that beautiful flowers have grown on her cactus. ( )

This is a beautifully illustrated picture book on the desert in the southwest. I️ would love to incorporate this into my placement classroom, and see where it takes my class.

Nice illustrations and overall a cut book. I was not exactly blown away by it, but it was enjoyable. ( )

Wow, what beautiful watercolor illustrations! Love the storyline too, and what the father and little girl found at the end, so unexpected! ( )

Clementina's Cactus is one of Keats' later books and is unique in the sense that it has no text. However, Keats uses incredibly beautiful and detailed illustrations to tell the story of a young girl and her father. This book could be used for early elementary grades to help them practice telling stories with pictures. ( )
