This story will keep you guessing until the very end. This is the second book in this series and this story picks up where book one left off, so I encourage you to read them in the order written (however, you could read this easily as a stand alone story). In this story there will be intrigue and mystery along with a little bit of romance.
Bree discovers a corpse in her lighthouse home behind a hidden wall in her basement. This will lead to many questions as she tries to solve this age-old crime there in the quaint town of Rock Harbor. There are also several homes being vandalized out by the Lake, which will lead to even more discoveries. And then there is the ongoing strong feelings that Bree and Kade seem to share for one another, but show more can't seem to vocalize those feelings and commit. Kade also has his hands full trying to raise his sister, Lauri, who seems to be getting herself into a lot of trouble. There is a lot going on in the story and the author does a good job of tying up all the pieces in the end. But she leaves one story wide open, which I look forward to reading more about in the next book in this series, 'Into the Deep". show less
