Three stars. One additional star rewarded for the luminosity behind "Angels are absences in the snow, visible only from above. When it thaws they will stand up and search for the children they have known." ( )

Hard to find a book of poems that is this much fun to read. It's so smart and so quick and so ambitious. And funny. It's got all the feign left, dodge right rhetorical trickiness of most contemporary poetry, but knows why it's doing it. The book is about why everyone is doing it. The best young poet to come around in a long, long while? ( )
