Just because Kate 'Middleton' McGrath, wants a man to call 'daddy' in bed doesn't mean-Oh, you stopped reading. Cool. Kate gets it. Kinks aren't for everyone. Hell, they're probably not for Mr. Henderson, her grumpaholic boss. She really shouldn't have crush on him, but the man is just so goddamn stern. Sure, a lot of that comes down to 'being her boss,' but still, it feels like there might be something there. Tyler Henderson is a golden boy who's lost his shine. He's old, his dream career is over, his fiancée's left him. Now all the former firefighter is to try and bury his troubles in paperwork and hard liquor. He says 'try' because he can't get Middleton out of his head long enough to wallow properly. He's not going anywhere near the girl. HR issues aside, he's done with sweetness and things don't come sweeter than a cupcake-baking engineer who knits her own hats. A case of mistaken identity causes Kate and Ty's attraction to give way to blistering sex. They have more in common-and more to lose-than either of them realized. When it comes to unreasonable attraction you can rarely change your mind but can you act your ag… (more)

This book fucked me up.

I loved this book - I was so mad at myself for having to sleep so I couldn't finish it in one sitting. This book features DD/lg so if that makes you uncomfortable you may want to pass. There were passages from Ty's perspective that squeezed my heart; likewise Kate's revelations were moving. Wish I could say more than this may be 2022's fave book - I am verklempt! ( )

Um, wow. First try at this author but pretty sure it won't be my last. This book was seriously hot. I don't say that often cuz generally I read for action, emotion and story line not sex. But the sex here was seriously well done. It was kink not hard core but role playing. I don't usually care much for kink writing. But this was smoking though.

In addition the emotions were wonderful. These were two people whose kink matched. They had both spent years feeling not quite right about themselves for it. Especially the older hero who had spent years pretty much hating himself over it. He grew over the course of the story more, learning to accept himself. The heroine grew too but she didn't need as much help as the hero did. Actually she did more to help the hero than the other way round. ( )

Well this was gorgeous, and I loved the depth of the characters. It was nice to see a kink being shared without it needing to be taught to one of the players. Also roller derby which was a fun and amazing sidebar to everything. ( )
