I don’t speak Cree, but I did like that the beginning of this book has a pronunciation chart. 😊 ( )

A super simple board book that teaches children Cree with beautiful illustrations by Julie Flett.

Her illustrations are beautiful. What I love is their simplicity -- you can so easily tell what's a moose, what's a bluejay, what's a hare. I think this is really important in children's books, and I can tell she's put so much thought and work into the illustrations. They have a softness and a whimsy that I just love.

Hoping to include this in a YouTube video on my channel very soon! ( )
