This is a very good example of modern fantasy because it has characters and a plot that are very unrealistic in the real world but made believable by the author giving them human characteristics and dialogue throughout the entire book. It's an excellent book in how it depicts the love a child has for the mother and the love a mother has for her child. The setting is not specifically stated within the text but can be easily seen through the illustrations. The little country farm that the story is placed in gives a peaceful tone to the story and the text.

This book starts out with a little puppy giving his mom a present and he told all of his friends what he did. Soon they all were getting their mothers presents and they all loved them. All of the mothers told their child that they loved their presents and loved them too.

This is a book about how young children/animals do things for their mother. For example, a puppy goes and gets a bone for his mother and gives it to her. But while she gives it to her, he says a little rhyme with it. And it also shows how much the mother appreciates the things their babies get them.

Kindness, Love, and Sharing. Decodable text with heavy picture support. Fun animations good for sharing.

In this sweet book, a little brown puppy decided he wanted to get a gift for his mother. He went out and found a great big bone. When he took it to her, she loved it so much. All the other animals decided they wanted to give their mothers a gift as well, so they all went out and found a special gift for their moms. Each mom told their baby how much they loved the gift and how much they loved them.
