I believe that the storyline as well as the illustrations give this book great strength. These illustrations are very detailed which causes the children to pay attention and focus in on all the crazy things happening at the hotel. The text is in a rhyming sequence, which also draws children to particular events happening in the story. I think that because the visuals are so detailed and the story is funny, kids will be drawn to this book.

This is a great book to use for Halloween fun. When the students come dressed in their Halloween costumes reading the book could make the day even more fun. You could also have students create their own costumes and act out the book.
