Obra maestra de un genio, goza universalmente de todas las simpatías hasta tal punto que, se ha dicho, es uno de los mejores libros del mundo donde la hondura del pensamiento, la ingeniosa alegoría filosófica, el estilo, aunque barroco, ameno, y su intención moralizadora hacen de "El Criticón" un libro siempre actual.
El latiguillo del pedagogo y moralista azota implacablemente, suave en la voz, enérgico en el gesto.
