A beautiful novel, one that is filled with God’s love throughout. The story revolves round an abused young woman, her ex-husband, and their autistic 7-year-old-son. The author skillfully delves into the various church members’ reactions to Isaac as he brings his turtle to sit with him during a service, how he shakes hands with the pastor as they leave the sanctuary, and how members show their love and patience toward Isaac in spite of his differences.
